February 2025
Hello partners!
A few updates for you from our end:
30th Anniversary
We will be celebrating God’s faithfulness to our church in September, with our main celebration happening on September 28, 2025. Would you like to play a part? You are more than welcome to join us if you are able, but you could also celebrate in a special way.
If you are willing, could you send a brief video (30 seconds or so, we’ll need to edit them all down depending on how many we receive) to me by May 31?
In the video, you could include:
• If you would like to thank the people of the church at the 30th anniversary for their investment in missions, please do so. Is there a specific way God has used Maranatha in your ministry?
• If you would like to thank Butch for his role in building a missions culture at Maranatha, please do so. How has God used him to make a difference in your life and ministry?
• Is there a specific story involving Butch or Barb you would want to share? (If you do this, you’re allowed another minute, ha) This Sunday will also mark Butch’s retirement.
Video tips:
-Please make sure there is enough light.
-Please limit background noise
-Please shoot landscape (horizontal)
Thanks, and if you are uncomfortable shooting a video like, it I really no problem, just an opportunity. Please keep the video brief and send it by May 31, thanks!
Sending Updates
We are grateful to be working with several people interested in being sent out by Maranatha! While we are still working through the process, it is a blessing to have those we can see with a heart for the lost around the world. Please pray with us that we would prepare our people well, have wisdom and discernment, and grow in this process.
Cabin Fever Outreach
We hosted a party! On Saturday, February 22, we opened our doors for “Cabin Fever”, an event designed to welcome our community to the church, begin a relationship, and share the Good News with them. Several hundred heard the Gospel that night, who knows if it was for the first time? Several families attended Sunday morning for the first time after attending the event the night before. We’re thankful and excited to continue this annual event next year!
Thanks for partnering with us.
We appreciate hearing from you about the ways God is working and are glad to share what is happening here.
